My name is Lisandra Jureidini, formerly associated with the CLBL Foundation, and I am thrilled to share some wonderful news with you!

I am proud to introduce an innovative online Reading Intervention Resource that is now accessible to teachers, parents, and students alike. Welcome to ‘Panning for Treasure’, where the focus is on potential development! You can explore the resource at https://panningfortreasure.com

As a dedicated Literacy Intervention Coach, I have journeyed across the Island, understanding the diverse needs of our schools and communities. In response to these pressing needs, I have developed this resource with the aim of contributing to the realization of the Vision 2030 Jamaica campaign. Every Child Can Learn, Every Child Must Learn.

What sets Panning for Treasure apart is its inclusivity. Not only is it designed for teachers, but parents, guardians, and students will also benefit from this valuable tool. It’s an all-encompassing initiative aimed at fostering a love for reading and enhancing literacy skills.

While the site is still under construction, we can confidently use what is available to bid farewell to “Non-Starter,” “Below Pre-Primer,” and “Pre-Primer” reading levels of our students using Level 1 of the program. Together, we can empower every Jamaican.

I would be delighted to provide you with a “walkthrough”, to demonstrate how to effectively utilize the resource. I will also show you how to guide parents, guardians, and students in reinforcing the concepts taught in each reading session or during reading club activities.
